![]() ![]() Upon arrival, the 11st of November 1979, they faced the first big problem: the cabin was no longer available. The production assistant Josh Becker, a friend of Raimi and Bruce Campbell, who had been shooting short films with them for years, shared a car with the person who had got his desired duty of photography director, Tim Philo, also with John Mason, in charge of the sound recording, and Tom Sullivan, who would be responsible for the make-up effects. ![]() Running away from the cold winter in Detroit, the film crew and cast of “The book of the dead” went to Morristown, Mississippi, where director Sam Raimi and producer Robert Tapert had found a secluded cabin in the woods.
